Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately – we’ve been on our once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon in Kenya and Zanzibar! 😄
We had an absolutely amazing experience on safari for four days, staying at Ol Seki Hemingways Mara camp and then spending eight days at The Residence in Zanzibar. It all passed too quickly and before we knew it we were on our way back to Heathrow and our day jobs! Check out some of our pictures.
Since this time we have been working hard on getting things moving for Ever Ever After and have sorted business cards! In the last two months we’ve been getting noticed and have been featured in several magazines. In early September ‘Your Kent Wedding’ magazine featured us and a few weeks later we shared our story in the ‘real lives’ section of Gay Times.
We met with a large retailer and had a promising meeting with them about a number of things involving Ever Ever After and also about expanding the range of products they offer for same-sex weddings. Further details will follow soon – but we can’t say too much at the moment! It’s set to be a very positive step forward for us, so watch this space!
It’s October already and Christmas will be with us soon! 2016 has been a year of preparation for us and we’re very humbled by the love and support we’ve received – and 2017 looks to be a defining year for us and one in which we will grow.
The busy wedding season over the summer is coming to and end and will calm down whilst the wedding fairs start to increase. There are plenty around both at local venues and larger ones like Excel London. There are lots of suppliers and people to meet at the fairs so make sure you take the time to wander round and take it all in. We found that going to our venue’s wedding fair helped us in confirming decisions for the day. Time well spent.
Keep a look out for us at some wedding fairs next year and come over for a chat – we’d love to talk!
